FOUNDATION APPROVES GRANT FOR WOMEN’S NATIONAL TEAM
Head Coach Kathy Flores
Communication is an integral part of any successful organization. Thanks to a grant from
the US Women’s Rugby Foundation, communication for the
National Team has gone from good to excellent.
The Women’s National Team requested funds for Eartec two-way radios.
“We had used walkie-talkies in the past and were very disappointed with
the quality,” said Women’s National Team coach, Kathy Flores. “With the
grant from the Foundation we were finally able to get a high-quality,
reliable communication system. This will be a great asset to our program.”
The new radio equipment debuted at the CanAm games in Glendale, CO.
The equipment allows coaches in the stands to communicate with field coaches
during test matches. The radios will be used across Women Eagle programs
supporting the 7's, 15's, and development squads.
