BOARD OF DIRECTORS

Beverly Armstrong

Professional Experience:

Ms. Armstrong currently serves as chief of operations and Vice President – Administration, Chief Compliance Officer and General Counsel for Paratek Pharmaceuticals, Inc. As a member of the executive management team, Beverly heads up Paratek’s day-to-day business operations and oversees the company’s general and administrative, operations, legal and governance functions, among other things. Prior to taking on her expanded role, Beverly served as Chief Financial Officer for Paratek from 2000 to 2005. She currently serves on the Board of Directors of three not-for-profit organizations and has consulted for other organizations in the areas of finance, accounting and control, marketing strategy, strategic alliances, operations strategy and organizational design and management.

Beverly received her undergraduate degree in Economics and Government from Harvard University, an MBA from Harvard Business School and a JD from Harvard Law School.

Rugby Experience:

Bev has played rugby for Beantown RFC, based in Boston, MA, since 1995 and continues to play and serve on Beantown’s Executive Board. In her rugby career, Bev has played with the Northeast Rugby Union (NRU) Select Side 15s and 7s teams, been a member of the US Women’s National Team player pools in 15s and 7s, been a reserve for the US Women’s 7s Hong Kong Squad and toured internationally with the Atlantis 7s select squad.

Lisa M. Durham

Professional Experience:

Ms. Durham is President & CEO of Lilly’s LLC, a restaurant development and venture corporation. With over 20 years in the restaurant industry, Lisa has operated or owned several restaurants. She is currently owner of Taco Mac - Stockbridge, GA.

Lisa is active in the community and currently serves on the Board of Directors for the NFL Yet (Boys & Girls Club) of Atlanta. She has an Associates of Science degree in Business from Clayton State University and a Bachelors of Science degree in Physiology from Georgia State University.

Rugby Experience:

Lisa is a 20-year rugby veteran who started as a flanker for the former Atlanta Valkyries. She finished her competitive career as a lock for the Southeast Harlequins (renamed Atlanta Harlequins). She serves in an advisory capacity for the Harlequins annual Golf Classic.

Tania Hahn

Professional Experience:

Ms. Hahn is the president and CEO of Hahn Enterprises, Inc. specializing in the sale and service of gymnasium, recreation, and playground equipment throughout Louisiana and Mississippi. Hahn Enterprises opened in 2001 and has provided equipment to hundreds of recreation facilities – most notably LSU Tiger Stadium, Tulane University, and the New Orleans Hornets training facility. Tania has been in this industry since 1987.

Rugby Experience:

Ms. Hahn played for the New Orleans Halfmoons from 1987-2004. She was a reserve for the 1998 US Women’s World Cup Squad; played with the Golden Eagles in the Bermuda Classic 2004-2005; and toured extensively to Great Britain, Europe, and the South Pacific.

Danita Knox

Professional Experience:

Ms. Knox is an Engineering Manager responsible for a $14M Installation & Field Services business unit for GE Energy. The international business team acts as the service division for industrial and turbine products for GE. She is on the Steering Committee for GE Energy’s Chapter of the GE African American Forum and is on the Talent Development & Retention Committee of the GE Women’s Network. She started with GE in 1995 and graduated from Southern Polytechnic State University with a B.S. in Electrical Engineering Technology.

Rugby Experience:

Ms. Knox is on the USA Rugby Board of Directors, 2004 – present. She has served as Women’s Director for USA Rugby South since 1999 and is responsible for administering the territories’ women’s programs and structures. She is president of the Georgia Rugby Union and Co-President of the DI Women’s Team – the Atlanta Harlequins.

Teressa C. Owen

Professional Experience:

 Ms. Owen is currently employed with BearingPoint, a global consulting firm, working with State and Local governments. Previously she held several positions with the State of Florida, with responsibilities including governmental accounting, revenue estimating and cost/price modeling in the Information Technology, Telecommunications, Alcoholic Beverage and Tobacco industries.

Her professional certifications include Project Management Professional (PMP) from the Project Management Institute and Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in the State of Florida. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science, a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Florida State University.

Rugby Experience:

She played for the Florida State University Women’s Rugby Club from 1978 through 1983.

Suzanne Rosen, PT

Professional Experience:

Ms. Rosen is the Owner and President of Fit Forever - A consulting firm specializing in the health and fitness needs of the senior population. She provides fitness and rehabilitation programs tailored to the specific needs of aging adults. Services range from developing programs for individuals to designing wellness programs for retirement communities.

Her degrees include a Masters of Physical Therapy – University of St. Augustine Health Sciences; a Master of Science in Leisure Services – Florida State University; and a Bachelor of Science in Physical Education – Florida State University.

Rugby Experience:

Ms Rosen was a player, captain and coach of the four-time National Champions Florida State University Women’s Rugby Club, co-coach Beantown Women’s Rugby Club, the Head Coach of USA Rugby East Women’s Select Side, 1985-1991; Founder of the USA Rugby East Women’s Select Side Program; and Member of WIVERN - 1st USA Women’s representative team v. England/France Tour.
