The US Women’s Rugby Foundation
is readying for the launch of our first grant program, which targets
At-Risk Youth teams. Grants awarded will distribute dollars to provide
opportunities for socioeconomically underprivileged girls wishing to participate
in rugby. We expect to have the application process published by July 20,
2009. We will accept applications starting August 1, 2009. Teams interested in
applying for such a grant should check back then.

The US Women’s Rugby Foundation
approves grant for Women’s National Team (WNT) for radio communications
equipment. The radios will allow coaches in the stands to communicate with
field coaches during test matches. The equipment will be used across Women
Eagle programs supporting 7's, 15's, and development squads.

The US Women’s Rugby Foundation
cheers on the USA Sevens Team in their Bid for the World Cup. In support of
their very successful 2009 Rugby World Cup Sevens performance this summer in
Dubai, the Foundation made financial contributions to the 7’s Women's National
Team. The Eagles advanced to the semi-finals in this inaugural
women’s participation in the event.

third year as twenty USWRF members volunteered at a
Jeanie C. Linders Fund “There’s No Place Like Home” home in New Orleans’ Hollygrove neighborhood.

The US Women’s Rugby Foundation hosted a 30-Year Reunion to celebrate 30 years of women’s rugby.
Olde girls who played at the FIRST WOMEN’S CLUB NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS traveled to Lake Mary Florida to reminisce
and watch the Women’s Division I & Division II National Championships.

Our 2008 New Orleans Rugby Recovery Effort for the Habitat for Humanity volunteer project was a resounding success.
Once again ruggers and supporters from around the country came to New Orleans to lend a helping hand with the ongoing rebuild effort.

on November 10, 2007 in conjunction with the Div I & Div II Women’s Rugby National
