United States Woman’s Rugby Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Donations made to the USWRF are tax deductible.

Employee matching gift: Check whether your employer matches the charitable contributions of its employees. If so, this is a wonderful way to leverage your individual gift.

Honor and Memorial gifts: Celebrate a significant occasion — a birthday, wedding, or graduation, for example — with a contribution to the Foundation in honor of a loved one. You can also honor the life of a special friend or relative with a gift.

Bequests: Consider designating the Foundation as a beneficiary of your estate, 401(k), or insurance policy.

Founding Members: A gift of $1000 or more by the first 100 contributors will place you on the “100 Pioneers Team”. You will always be acknowledged as being a member of this founding group. Your donations will sponsor the Women’s World Cup fund and the foundations endowment.

Campaign gift: A gift to the Foundation’s current “Women’s Rugby World Cup 2010” fund ensures the team is able to build and progress during the next four year World Cup cycle.

Endowment gift: A gift to the Foundation’s endowment helps ensure a stable source of future funding for the development of women’s rugby.
Underwriting a grant: A gift of $35,000 or more, restricted to grant making, entitles the donor to name a current grant or create a new grant which can be designated to any of the Foundation’s Five Key Areas of Support and fits within the Foundation’s mission.

Underwrite a Project: A gift of $5,000 and up can sponsor a variety of initial USWRF projects:
The creation of an annual women’s rugby festival in the United States. Such a venue would be an opportunity to showcase elite women’s rugby and also serve as a venue for the exchange of ideas on a host of topics related to women’s rugby. The venue would include player clinics, open practices for coaches to attend, dinners and conversations with staff and players from diverse countries.

The development of a fellowship/Internship for Women’s Collegiate Rugby. Women’s rugby is currently recognized as an emerging NCAA sport and a number of collegiate programs have become priority or varsity sports. However a great deal of research remains to be done. What are the obstacles that different institutions face? What will an NCAA designation mean to current governance? Is there an adequate support system for women who wish to coach?

Documentation of the history of women’s rugby in the United States. History provides markers and gives a perspective of how far the USA Women’s Rugby program has come. Reviewing the past, accomplishments or missteps, better equips the Foundation to develop strategies for the future.
