Leading Like a Boss:
Emily built the NCAA program at Newberry from scratch in a year and continues to build youth rugby in the south by offering camps for local kids and working with the Newberry YMCA. Her goal is to continue to introduce and expand the sport of girls and youth rugby in South Carolina.
Why We love Emily:
After receiving her Masters Degree in Elementary Education, Emily accepted a position as a 5th grade teacher during the pandemic. While teaching 5th grade was incredibly fulfilling, the opportunity to create a career in rugby was too strong a pull and Emily accepted the position at Newberry College.
