In June of 2023, WRCRA launched the first survey of college coaches to better understand the experiences of college coaches as individuals and as a group.
The U.S. Women's Rugby Foundation believes that supporting coaches at every level is critical work requiring buy-in from local, regional, and national governing bodies. This is particularly true about collegiate rugby. Every season good coaches leave rugby burnt out and frustrated by challenges that seem entrenched in collegiate rugby (recruitment and retention of players, funding, and a lack of respect for the enormity of the work).
We hope this annual survey can lead to action plans that improve the experiences of coaches and grow the collegiate game.
You must be a current WRCRA member to access the survey results.
