Why We Love Yeny:
Yeny has been involved with rugby from the age of 18. She is an impressive scrumhalf and leader on the field and an exceptional leader off the field. She is the first female club president of the Fairfield Yankees, she broke the glass ceiling of this once, stogy, white-male Connecticut institution.
Yeny continues to strive for the growth of women’s rugby while advocating for all women in sports. Those that know her can see the influence she has on the rugby community goes far beyond playing. Her efforts focus on creating a tighter community by encouraging her club to partake in community service.
