I have known KO since 1978 when she first asked me to help coach Beantown. My response that "Women don't play rugby" was quickly corrected by her charm, humor, and steely eyed response that perhaps I was wrong. She has not ceased to grow in my estimation ever since. Respect, passion, dedication, inclusion and community are not platitudes but are the very core of her being. The multitude of players she has coached at every level, her teammates and opponents all know that she embodies the true spirit of rugby. KO is never less than fully committed to the game and the people in it. We play rugby for the memories and the friends and KO has created wonderful memories with, and for, so many friends throughout the world. I am proud to call her sister, friend and Boss.
